Chrome turned up on the list of most vulnerable browsers in terms of user security, stated Digitain. According to the analysts’ data, the browser failed tests for separating user sessions, enabling attackers to monitor user activity across sessions.
As per the study conducted by Digitain, Chrome is deemed one of the more susceptible browsers regarding the safeguarding of user information. It trailed only ChatGPT Atlas.
In the released ranking of risks to personal information privacy, alongside Chrome, popular browsers Edge, Opera, Firefox, and even DuckDuckGo, which markets itself as secure and private, were included in the list.
Digitain’s research findings demonstrated that Chrome exhibits a low security level among widespread browsers.
ChatGPT Atlas returned unsatisfactory outcomes in most data protection assessments, earning 99 points out of a possible 100. Chrome was assigned a score of 75, Vivaldi – 74, and Edge – 63. Following these were Opera, Ungoogled, Firefox, Safari, and DuckDuckGo. The most secure, in the experts’ view, were acknowledged as Brave and Mullvad Browser.
The researchers emphasized that browsers built upon artificial intelligence do not furnish robust data protection. New AI browsers raise worries among experts as they might gather substantially more personal details than initially appears.
