During the investigation, they managed to achieve an impressive loading level of active ingredients into nanocontainers mimicking exosomes, reaching up to 85%. This figure significantly surpasses prior results, which ranged between 5 and 9%.
Close attention is focused on maintaining the integrity and functionality of the nanoparticles during drug implementation. The gentle encapsulation method prevents the degradation of nanocarriers and guarantees their stability in the biological environment.
Preliminary studies on breast cancer and melanoma models demonstrated the capability of the created system to concentrate in tumor tissues and metastatic foci. This factor indicates potential for the therapy of advancing stages of cancerous diseases.
