Insiders from the Board Channels forum reported an imminent rise in prices for NVIDIA and AMD video cards against the backdrop of the ongoing DRAM market shortage.
According to their information, NVIDIA already made a slight price adjustment in December 2025, but the main price hike is scheduled for February 2026.
That is when the company’s new fiscal quarter begins. Before its launch, NVIDIA prefers not to alter its official pricing strategy so as not to worsen the gaming division’s figures in its reports.
AMD, conversely, intends to act more swiftly. Sources assert that the first significant price increases for gaming graphics cards will commence as early as January.
This is linked to the specifics of the company’s financial calendar, where the fourth quarter encompasses October, November, and December. The January price elevation will only be the initial step—several more rounds of GPU price increases are anticipated throughout 2026.
