
A National Hockey League (NHL) club, the “Columbus Blue Jackets,” announced on its official website the trade of Russian forward Egor Chinakhov to the “Pittsburgh Penguins.”
In exchange for Chinakhov, Columbus acquired forward Danton Heinen, as well as a second-round selection in the 2026 draft and a third-round selection in the 2027 draft.
Chinakhov is 24 years old. He was chosen by Columbus in the 2020 NHL Draft with the 21st overall pick. His contract runs for one more season, after which he will become a restricted free agent. In the current season, the Russian participated in 29 games, accumulating 6 points (3 goals and 3 assists).
