According to the journalists, Microsoft released the update with identifier KB5077241. It does not contain security patches, but it adds several new capabilities to personal machines. The material’s authors note that the operating system gained a collection of capabilities that users had long awaited during this deployment.
Specifically, the quick repair mechanism (QMR) was integrated into the system. This capability permits reverting Windows settings following critical failures that impede system startup. Moreover, a control to initiate an internet connection speed evaluation was added to the taskbar. Users can gauge the internet’s speed and latency across Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or mobile networks.
A few minor enhancements and revisions were also implemented in Windows 11. Experts noted that it is now possible to apply images in webp format as desktop backgrounds. The ability to control supported cameras within system settings is also present, and desktop widgets can now be expanded to full screen.
“As of now, no difficulties accompany this update, which is a pleasant surprise,” summarized the Windows Central team.
