Kaprizov’s goal marked his 37th of the season, propelling him into a tie for second place in the league’s goal-scoring race, level with Cole Caufield of the Montreal Canadiens. Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche currently leads the pack.
With 87 points, Minnesota sits in third position within the Western Conference standings. Utah currently holds the fifth spot with 73 points.
