
The individual suspected of carrying out an assault on a synagogue in the US state of Michigan was fatally shot by security personnel. This information was reported by the Associated Press on March 12th, citing an unnamed source.
The man initially drove his car into the synagogue building and subsequently opened fire inside. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents who arrived at the scene fatally wounded the assailant while attempting to apprehend him.
“A man armed with a rifle crashed his vehicle into a large synagogue in a Detroit suburb and was fatally wounded by security officers,” the report stated.
The vehicle caught fire following the collision. Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard confirmed that no synagogue staff members sustained injuries as a consequence of the attack.
