In the Turkish province of Bursa, law enforcement agents uncovered the remains of an eight-year-old boy who had spent almost his entire existence separated from his mother. The child was located inside a derelict residence, suffering from extreme malnutrition, and moreover, he had never set foot in a school. According to reports from the DHA agency, the boy’s father, identified as Umut K., resided in Germany and was involved with a German national named Rebecca S.
The couple welcomed a son in 2018. A year later, the man brought his family to Turkey, which led to a dispute between them. Prior to the woman’s departure back to Germany, the father made the decision to keep their son with him. He entrusted the child to his own mother, and the boy was subsequently concealed among relatives. For a period spanning seven years, the child never left this dwelling. Subsequently, the father passed away due to a heart attack.
Police initiated an inquiry after the boy’s grandmother aroused suspicion. A dedicated team initiated surveillance, which directed them to the abandoned house where the child was being kept. The young boy has since been placed under the care of social services authorities. The grandmother and a cousin have been apprehended, facing charges related to unlawful confinement.
Simultaneously, in Odintsovo, a district near Moscow, bailiffs located a young girl who had been abducted by her father and hidden from her mother for a duration of two years. The conflict commenced several years prior: the man took their three-year-old daughter, disappeared, disregarded a court order designating the mother as the custodial parent, and completely severed all avenues of communication.
