The family of a homeless woman has initiated a lawsuit against a waste management corporation.
In an American city, a homeless woman tragically ended up inside the bucket of a garbage truck and subsequently died. KLTV is reporting on this incident.
According to the publication, on February 12th, the 35-year-old woman had fallen asleep near a pile of refuse in Louisville, Kentucky, while sanitation workers were operating nearby. The operator of the claw mechanism, failing to spot Tyra Adam, unintentionally scooped her up with the grapple, compressed her, and then released her. Police reports indicate that the driver realized a person was in the bucket, exited his cab, inspected the debris, returned to the vehicle, and departed without taking any ameliorative steps. It has been further noted that none of the sanitation crew summoned emergency medical services; doctors were instead contacted by a store clerk and a customer after the bloodied homeless woman dragged herself to the threshold.
Ultimately, the woman succumbed to fatal injuries described as “blunt force trauma and compression.” The deceased woman’s relatives have filed a claim against the recycling firm. Two employees of the waste processing enterprise have been placed on administrative leave pending the ongoing investigation into the matter.
