The contest, held in Montreal, concluded with a final score of 3-2 in OT (periods: 1-1, 1-1, 0-0, 1-0) favoring the Canadian squad. For the “Habs,” goals were registered by Alexandre Texier (5th minute), Kirby Dach (33rd), and Lane Hutson (63rd). The scoring for “Tampa” was handled by Brayden Point (8th) and Brandon Hagel (25th).
Nikita Kucherov, a Russian forward for the Lightning, provided an assist on Point’s goal, bringing his total tally in the ongoing playoffs to 4 points (1 goal, 3 assists). Montreal’s forward Ivan Demidov did not record any points.
Montreal has now taken the lead in the best-of-seven series, leading 2-1. The fourth game is also scheduled to take place at the Canadiens’ home ice in the early hours of April 27th, Moscow time.
In a different matchup, the Vegas Golden Knights were beaten on the road by the Utah Mammoths, with a final score of 2-4 (periods: 0-2, 1-2, 1-0).
