
Japanese law enforcement detained 83-year-old Noriko Akaike, suspecting her of causing the death of her 82-year-old spouse, Shinichi. She reportedly stated that he had been teasing her, according to a report by Japan Today.
“Authorities report that Noriko Akaike is presumed responsible for assaulting her husband, Shinichi, on Tuesday afternoon by striking him in the face with her fist and kicking him inside their dwelling within a housing complex in the Minami district of Nagoya city,” the press wrote.
The woman contacted emergency services at 9:00 PM on Tuesday, April 21st, claiming her husband had lost consciousness. The man was pronounced to have suffered a heart attack. He was transported to the hospital in a state of clinical death, where medical personnel officially declared him deceased.
Medical personnel notified the police after an examination revealed bruising extensively across the victim’s body. Officers interrogated the deceased’s wife, who subsequently confessed to having a role in his passing. She alleged that she assaulted him because he had been making jokes at her expense.
