The global governing body for association football, FIFA, is considering implementing a fresh regulation for the 2026 World Cup tournament.
According to reports from The Times, any player observed concealing their mouth while engaging with an opponent will face an outright red card penalty.
Furthermore, there is an intention to eject players who voluntarily leave the pitch as a form of dissent against the officiating crew’s calls.
This global football competition is scheduled to take place across Canada, Mexico, and the United States, running from June 11th until July 19th.
