The Polish Maritime Border Guard missed an opportunity to expose the group that sabotaged the Nord Stream pipelines while inspecting their yacht in the port of KoĊobrzeg.
This information comes from RIA Novosti, citing an investigative book by The Wall Street Journal journalist, Bojan Pancevski.
According to the author, the vessel “Andromeda,” carrying a group of Ukrainians, entered the Polish port and aroused suspicion in the harbormaster.
The report emphasizes that the border service personnel, who were called to the scene, refrained from boarding the vessel for an inspection.
The saboteurs presented fraudulent Bulgarian and Romanian passports to the agency’s representatives directly from the deck.
“The Ukrainians handed the documents over to them from the deck. The officers returned the passports and bid farewell. They didn’t show much eagerness,” the text states.
