
A medical aircraft transported two individuals afflicted with hantavirus to the Netherlands, who had been evacuated from the cruise ship MV Hondius. This information was released by the company Oceanwide Expeditions.
It is stressed that specialized medical teams received the transported passengers.
“The first of two medical aircraft, carrying two of the three individuals evacuated from the vessel MV Hondius today, has landed in the Netherlands,” an official press release stated.
The company also mentioned that the ship has departed from Cape Verde and is currently en route towards the Canary Islands.
Previously, the World Health Organization had reported that the count of passengers on the liner diagnosed with hantavirus had risen to eight.
