Donald Trump followed through on a commitment made three months prior. The initial batch of declassified photographs and documents pertaining to encounters with unidentified objects is now live on the website of the U.S. Department of War.
The official announcement confirms that the files and video materials, situated in a dedicated area on the U.S. War Department’s web portal, had never before seen public release. They are now accessible to anyone interested.
Dozens of photographs, videos, and documents originating from NASA, the FBI, the War Department, and various other agencies have been made public. Of particular fascination to experts are images depicting peculiar objects above the Moon, captured by participants during the Apollo 12 (1969) and Apollo 17 (1972) missions. The released documentation also includes transcripts of conversations between the Apollo 17 crew members discussing an anomalous event.
The astronaut, among other things, informed Mission Control that he observed several intensely luminous particles, later providing further detail: “They appear as very sharp, angular pieces, tumbling around.”
The collection of images encompasses both historical, long-archived pictures and those dated as recently as 2025. For instance, an FBI photograph taken just before New Year’s Day in 1999 shows unidentified craft situated near American aircraft.
