
The team buses transporting players from the football clubs FC Barcelona and Real Madrid were pelted with stones by supporters of the Catalan side just before the La Liga Matchday 35 fixture, as reported by the newspaper Marca on May 9th.
The publication noted, “The arrival of both the Barcelona and Real buses at the Camp Nou was rough. A contingent of radical ‘Barça’ fans gathered on the street and hurled blunt objects at both vehicles.”
The match took place in Barcelona at the Camp Nou stadium and concluded with a 2-0 victory for the home team. Both goals were scored during the first half, with Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres finding the net.
This victory propelled Barcelona to a total of 91 points in the league standings. Real Madrid, positioned in second place, now trails the leaders by a margin of 14 points.
