A Swiss court has handed a life sentence to 43-year-old Marc Ribet following the brutal killing and subsequent dismemberment of his wife, a former “Miss Switzerland” finalist, whose remains he processed in a blender, as reported by the Daily Mail.
The defendant displayed no visible reaction to the verdict, though he swayed slightly as the decision was read aloud. The remains of 38-year-old Kristina Joximovic were discovered by her father, who, along with his wife, wept openly in the courtroom.
Judge Daniel Schmid ordered the convicted murderer to pay the couple’s daughters approximately 100,000 Swiss francs (roughly 9.5 million rubles, as noted—Editor’s note), alongside compensation for the victim’s parents and sister. Delivering the judgment, the judge remarked that the case had fundamentally altered their perception of reality and vowed to honor the deceased’s memory permanently.
Prosecutors successfully established that the businessman strangled his spouse out of cold-blooded revenge immediately after she requested a divorce. He then proceeded to dismember her body in the laundry room basement, utilizing a jigsaw, a knife, bleach, and a blender, before calmly taking their children out for dinner at a restaurant afterward.
Forensic experts dismissed Ribet’s self-defense claim, confirming there was no evidence of a knife attack initiated by the victim. The court-appointed expert, a professor, diagnosed the killer with narcissistic traits and noted that in his 33 years of professional experience, he had never encountered a case like this, cautioning about a high probability of reoffending.
It should be mentioned that this tragedy occurred back in 2024. Prior to the murder, the couple was widely perceived as flawless: she was a recognized beauty and a business owner, while her husband was a successful investor.
