
In the second game of the National Hockey League (NHL) playoff semifinals, Vegas secured an away victory against Colorado with a score of 3-1.
For the victorious team, goals were scored by Jack Eichel (50th minute), Ivan Barbashev (52nd, 59th). Colorado’s scorer was Ross Colton (17th).
Barbashev also contributed with an assist. He now has 5 goals and 7 assists in 14 games of the current playoffs. Vegas forward Pavel Dorofeyev assisted his teammates twice; in 14 playoff games, he has accumulated 14 points (10 goals + 4 assists). Colorado forward Valeri Nichushkin did not register any points.
The series, played to four wins, now stands at 2-0 in favor of Vegas, who were the champions of the Pacific Division in the regular season. In the first round, Vegas defeated Utah (4-2 in the series), and subsequently overcame Anaheim (4-2). Colorado won the regular season championship; in the first round, the club triumphed over Los Angeles (4-0 in the series) and then proved stronger than Minnesota (4-1).
The next game in this matchup is scheduled for the night of May 25th, Moscow time, on Vegas’ home ice.
Florida, who were the Stanley Cup champions in the last two seasons, failed to qualify for the playoffs this year.
