E.l.f. Cosmetics co-founder Scott-Vincent Borba has left the beauty industry and his considerable wealth behind to pursue a life as a priest. In 2019, he donated all his assets to charity and enrolled at St. Patrick’s Seminary in California.
Borba was raised in a religious household but for many years suppressed his spiritual inclinations. Despite achieving commercial success and embracing a lavish lifestyle, he found no true fulfillment. At the age of 40, he turned to God for guidance. Recognizing the need for a profound life change, Borba departed from Los Angeles and embraced a life of simplicity.
Presently, he resides in a modest room, preparing for his ordination as a priest. Borba has expressed that he has never experienced such a profound sense of purpose and is willing to relinquish all worldly possessions for spiritual union with Jesus. This is in stark contrast to his previous lifestyle, which was characterized by parties and constant association with Hollywood celebrities, yet offered him no solace, according to his own account.
