
George Russell, piloting for Mercedes, emerged victorious in the qualifying session for the main race of the Canadian Grand Prix, the fifth round of “Formula-1.” The race is taking place in Montreal at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
The British driver’s fastest lap was recorded at 1 minute and 12.578 seconds. His teammate, Kimi Antonelli, secured the second position, trailing by 0.068 seconds. Lando Norris from McLaren claimed third place, with a gap of +0.151 seconds.
Following them were Oscar Piastri (McLaren), Lewis Hamilton (Ferrari), Max Verstappen (Red Bull), Isack Hadjar (Red Bull), Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), Arvid Lindblad (Racing Bulls), and Franco Colapinto (Alpine).
The main race is scheduled to take place on Sunday.
