
Iran goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand has been named the best player of the match in the second round of the World Cup group stage against Belgium, according to the International Federation of Football (FIFA) website.
The Group G match took place on Sunday in Los Angeles (USA) and ended with a score of 0:0. Beiranvand saved seven shots on target.
Beiranvand is 33 years old and represents Iran’s “Tractor.” He played his 88th match for the Iranian national team, and this game became his 45th without conceding a goal.
In the final, third round, the Iranians will face the Egyptian team on June 26 in Seattle. The World Cup will conclude on July 19.
