
In the Turkish province of Denizli, 11 individuals sustained injuries following a firearm incident during a wedding ceremony. This was reported on June 21 by the newspaper Milliyet.
“Eleven people were hurt as a result of gunfire at a wedding ceremony in the village of Kıralan, located in the Çivril district of Denizli. According to reports, the incident took place while the bride was departing from her home,” the article states.
It is clarified that a 15-year-old adolescent, who was part of the wedding procession, attempted to fire a traditional shotgun shot into the air. Consequently, the buckshot ricocheted off the ground and struck nearby attendees. The victims sustained injuries of varying severity.
According to the newspaper, the injured have been hospitalized, while the teenager was taken to the police station for questioning. All circumstances surrounding the event are currently being investigated.
