
The supercomputer Opta has recalculated the favorites for the 2026 FIFA World Cup following the conclusion of the group stage.
France has moved into first place, after holding the second spot following the second round of matches. Its chances of winning are now estimated at 18.7%.
Argentina has taken second place. The likelihood of it lifting the trophy stands at 16.3%.
The top three also includes Spain, with a probability of 13.5%.
England occupies fourth place with 9.7%, while Brazil ranks fifth at 6.5%.
The 2026 World Cup is being held from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
