
BYD has introduced a new lithium iron phosphate battery with a capacity of 102.3 kWh, weighing 725.9 kg. This battery accounts for over 30% of the curb weight of the BYD Great Han vehicle. The battery is produced by BYD’s subsidiary, FinDreams.
The rear-wheel-drive version of the BYD Great Han is equipped with a single electric motor delivering 370 kW (496 hp). Its driving range on electric power ranges from 970 to 1,008 km, according to the CLTC testing cycle. The curb weight of this version is between 2,260 and 2,325 kg.
The top-tier BYD Great Han AWD comes with two electric motors, offering a combined peak power of 570 kW (764 hp). The curb weight of this configuration is 2,505 kg. The electric driving range of the Da Han AWD reaches 820–880 km under CLTC conditions.
The dimensions of the BYD Great Han are 5,256 x 1,999 x 1,510 mm, with a wheelbase of 3,130 mm. For comparison, the BYD Great Han is 66 mm longer than a standard Mercedes-Benz S-Class, while its expected price is around $44,000.
