Neymar, the forward of Santos, has announced the end of his career with the Brazilian national team.
“My time with the national team has come to an end. I’ve made history, and I’m very happy. I put blood and sweat into it, I always fought for the yellow jersey, but I don’t want to do it anymore,” Neymar told Goal.
The 2026 World Cup was the Brazilian player’s last tournament with the national side. In the round of 16, Brazil lost to Norway (1:2).
In total, Neymar played 130 matches for the national team and scored 80 goals. He is an Olympic champion and a winner of the Confederations Cup.
