Astronomers from the Breakthrough Listen project analyzed archival data from the Green Bank Telescope to search for narrow-band radio signals of artificial origin in the LHS 1140 system. The team found no definitive technological markers. Instead, they calculated a key threshold: if any continuous narrow-band radio transmitter existed in this system, its power would have to be below 300 gigawatts to remain undetected by this setup. This sets a concrete benchmark for future searches.
