On August 22, 2026, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched 27 Starlink internet satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. This marked the 100th mission for the Falcon family in 2026 (with the 99th being a Falcon 9 and another a Falcon Heavy earlier in the year). The first stage of the rocket successfully returned to Earth, landing on the droneship «Of Course I Still Love You» in the Pacific Ocean. The launch further expanded the Starlink constellation, which now exceeds 11,000 operational satellites.
