Tropical storm Kajiki made landfall in southern China, primarily affecting the province of Hainan. The storm brought heavy rainfall, strong winds, and flooding to the region. The impact was felt in the tourist city of Sanya, where approximately 600 Russian tourists were stranded at the airport, delaying their planned departures on August 24–25. After Hainan, the storm moved towards northern Vietnam.
