A US woman shot her 11-month-old son in the face to ensure the child’s father could never gain custody of him. The New York Post reported this on August 29.
“36-year-old Madeleine Veronique Daley was found guilty of murdering the infant, Basil Stoner, inside a camper van in rural New Mexico,” the report stated.
According to US law enforcement, the woman genuinely believed she was protecting the child. Furthermore, Daley described the killing of the infant as justified.
