In the third round of the French championship, Monaco defeated Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 away. The match took place at the Parc des Princes stadium in Paris.
In the first half, Paris defender Marquinhos opened the scoring after an assist from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. After the break, Monaco turned the game around: first, Flávio Nazino equalized, and in the 72nd minute, Stanis Idumbo, assisted by Aleksandr Golovin, scored the winning goal for the visitors.
Monaco, with three wins and nine points, leads the Ligue 1 table. PSG, on the other hand, are yet to record a single win: two draws and a defeat leave the Parisians in 12th place with two points.
In the next round, Monaco will play away against Strasbourg on September 12, and PSG will play away against Brest a day later.
