At its «Surprise and Shine» event on September 9, 2026, Apple introduced its first foldable smartphone, unofficially dubbed iPhone Ultra. This marks a major shift for the company, which hasn’t introduced a new form factor since the iPhone X in 2017. The device features a flexible OLED display (approximately 7.7–7.8 inches when unfolded, closer to an iPad mini), a titanium and aluminum body, and a near-invisible fold.
