Gemini Liveābut don’t try discussing “dirty deeds.”
According to media reports, Google is developing a new incognito mode for Gemini Live. It will allow users to share video without saving the session history.
This is indicated by strings discovered in version 17.59.17.sa.arm64 of the Google app for Android. The code includes the names “Ephemeral Video Mode in Live” and the description: “Enable temporary mode for video in Live sessions.”
These are currently the only known details about the feature. The word “ephemeral” implies something temporary. Apparently, Gemini Live will be able to process video during a conversation but will not save it for future use once the session ends.
However, it remains unclear exactly how Google plans to implement this new feature or whether it will actually appear in the public version of the app.
