In New York City, outages topped 31,000, while Connecticut and New Jersey each reported around 12,000. On Long Island, authorities noted 13,212 customers affected.
FlightAware recorded 439 canceled flights and 2,459 delays. Flooding and voluntary evacuations were reported in New Jersey.
According to Reuters, the恶劣 weather is expected to last until Monday. States of emergency have been declared in both New York and New Jersey.
