In a historic milestone for oncology, newly presented clinical trial data for the recently FDA-approved oral drug Daraxonrasib (Rasonque) has sent waves of optimism through the medical community. Developed as a first-in-class daily pill targeting the deadly RAS mutation, the therapy has officially doubled the median overall survival rate for patients with advanced metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma. Patients on the new targeted therapy lived 13.2 months compared to just 6.7 months for those undergoing standard chemotherapy, opening new doors for lock-and-key precision medicine.
