
Fiji has officially declared a national medical emergency following a staggering spike in HIV infections, with estimates showing that roughly 1 in 60 citizens are now living with the virus. Public health agencies report that fewer than a quarter of affected individuals are currently receiving clinical therapy. In response, an aggressive mobilization strategy is being deployed to expand testing infrastructure, improve access to preventative PrEP, and dismantle local social stigma.
