The Baltimore Orioles have traded star catcher Adley Rutschman to the Boston Red Sox. The Red Sox acquired Rutschman, an All-Star, in what analysts called a blockbuster deal. In return, Baltimore received a substantial package of prospects, including their No. 2 (Eyanson), No. 4 (Witherspoon), and No. 5 (Azocar) draft picks. This move significantly bolsters the Red Sox’s catching situation, which had been one of the team’s weakest areas.
