Tech giant Apple is officially closing the biggest hole in its product lineup during its highly anticipated “Welcome Home” event in Tribeca, New York. Marking a brand new era under CEO John Ternus, the company showcased a massive expansion of its Apple smart home ecosystem. The centerpiece of the announcement is an all-new wall-mountable square touchscreen hub, reportedly codenamed HomeView or HomePad. Running on a dedicated homeOS, the advanced device utilizes built-in face and voice recognition to display personalized calendars, widgets, and communication tools for different family members. Alongside the flagship display, Apple also refreshed its lineup with the upgraded HomePod mini 2 and a more powerful Apple TV 4K.
