Today marks the highly anticipated live coverage of the SpaceX CRS-35 mission launch, a collaborative effort with NASA carrying over 6,300 pounds of vital cargo and advanced technology to the International Space Station. Tucked inside the Dragon spacecraft is the final pair of ISS Roll-Out Solar Arrays (iROSAs) destined to boost the power grid of the aging orbital lab. More importantly, the mission is pushing the boundaries of NASA health research, sending up critical experiments designed to study how microgravity affects the growth of 3D heart tissue models, manufacturing processes for artificial retinas, and the deep cellular links between inflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.
