OpenAI has officially launched a highly anticipated security update called “Locked Chats,” introducing a robust privacy layer to its flagship artificial intelligence application. The rolling feature allows users to lock highly sensitive, confidential, or personal generative AI conversations behind a secure four-digit account PIN or biometric authentication, such as Face ID and Touch ID. The security enhancement prevents unauthorized physical access to sensitive conversations, ensuring that internal corporate brainstorming, private queries, or financial strategies remain completely invisible when sharing a screen or an unlocked device with others.
