A report detailing a mysterious “werewolf” in the state of Utah has been discovered among a new batch of declassified Pentagon files, according to VT.co.
The investigation was commissioned by the U.S. Department of Defense in 2010 and carried out by Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies (BAASS)—a private aerospace company that has since ceased operations. The military became interested following reports from residents of Fort Duchesne, who claimed that a strange, fur-covered creature had been spotted in the vicinity of Skinwalker Ranch.
Twenty-five eyewitnesses, including police officers, described the creature—referred to in the report as a “werewolf”—as standing approximately 1.8 meters (about 6 feet) tall and weighing upwards of 110 kilograms (240 pounds). It reportedly had short, black-and-gray fur, pointed ears, and a short tail. Its head resembled that of a German shepherd, though it featured a nose similar to a human’s. Witnesses also claimed the creature moved by leaping at high speeds. In one incident, the entity collided with a barbed-wire fence and let out an unnatural howl.
A tuft of fur left behind on the fence was handed over by residents to the BAASS team. DNA analysis revealed that the fur belonged to a local dog. However, the researchers noted that while this identified the origin of the sample, it did not definitively prove that the “werewolf” itself was merely a dog. The Pentagon did not issue an official conclusion regarding the case. Furthermore, residents in the vicinity of Fort Duchesne reported to BAASS representatives that fireballs and small, humanoid figures had appeared in the area—and that a 12-meter-tall “portal to another world” had even opened up. No conclusions were reached regarding these accounts.
Previously, it was reported that residents of the Mexican state of Chihuahua claimed a mysterious white predator had appeared, which began snatching chickens and rabbits from local farmers. Paranormal investigators assert that they managed to photograph the creature.
