A series of anonymous bomb threats has triggered a widespread aviation security scare across Europe, forcing multiple passenger aircraft into emergency responses. At least four commercial flights traveling to Poland, Spain, and Bulgaria were simultaneously targeted by hostile emails. In Poland, an aircraft carrying 181 passengers from London Heathrow was forced to perform an emergency diversion to Warsaw Modlin Airport, while another flight from Manchester made an urgent unscheduled landing in Murcia, Spain. Specialized counter-terrorism teams and bomb squads inspected all affected planes; fortunately, no explosive devices have been found so far.
