Xiaomi just unveiled the Mijia High-Speed Water Ion Hair Dryer Pro (model number GSHS4PLX) on its Youpin platform. Pre-orders for this device will commence tomorrow, with a launch price set at 799 yuan (approximately $120).
The hair dryer will be available in three distinct color options. Its body features a metallic pearlescent finish, and operation is managed via a color display alongside an aluminum temperature regulator situated on the handle.
The standout feature of this new model is its dual protection system for the scalp. To achieve this, Xiaomi integrated a TOF sensor that continuously monitors the proximity to the head, automatically adjusting the airflow temperature within a safe thermal envelope. Furthermore, the device incorporates Water Ion technology, which the company asserts contributes to an enhanced scalp microenvironment. The dryer boasts a power output of 1600 W.
