Elon Musk shared a Tesla post announcing the deployment of FSD Supervised in Lithuania. The announcement highlights that Lithuania is now the second European nation to officially approve and begin rolling out this autonomous driving mode.
The European branch of Tesla stated in its publication that the FSD Supervised system is now progressively becoming available to car owners in Lithuania. The company emphasizes that the technology’s objective is to enhance driving safety and facilitate the phased integration of autonomous capabilities on European roads.
The Netherlands was the inaugural European country where Tesla initiated the FSD Supervised rollout. It was there that the system began its distribution ahead of other EU nations, attributed to a more adaptable certification process and proactive testing of driver-assistance features. The relevant Dutch regulatory body granted approval for the system’s operation on public roads in April 2026.
FSD (Supervised), which stands for Full Self-Driving with driver supervision, is an advanced driver-assistance system developed by Tesla. It autonomously handles vehicle operation, navigates intersections, executes turns, and parks. However, it mandates continuous driver vigilance and readiness to intervene in the driving process.
