
Finland’s national ice hockey team triumphed over Canada with a 4-2 victory on May 30th in a World Championship semifinal match currently taking place in Switzerland.
The Finnish team managed to turn the tide of the game during the second period, scoring three consecutive goals. For the victorious side, goals were netted by Patrick Puistola, Aleksander Barkov, Konsta Helenius, and Aatu Räty. Robert Thomas and Dylan Holloway scored for Canada, as reported by “Sport-Express.”
In the tournament’s final, the Finnish squad will face Switzerland. Canada will compete for third place against Norway. Both of these games are scheduled for May 31st.
Previously, on May 28th, Norway’s national team defeated Latvia 2-0 in a quarterfinal of the World Championship hockey tournament held in Switzerland. The goals by Tinus Koblar and Noah Steen secured the win for the Norwegians.
