The International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) has released a new ranking. The organization has unveiled a list of the world’s most valuable football players.
Topping the list is Barcelona’s winger, Lamine Yamal. The 18-year-old player has been valued at €358.1 million. In second place is Manchester City’s Norwegian striker, Erling Haaland, whose value is estimated at €227.3 million. Rounding out the top three is Real Madrid’s French forward, Kylian Mbappé, valued at €165.7 million.
It is noted that the transfer valuations were determined using CIES’s proprietary statistical model.
There is not much time left before the World Cup. The tournament will be held in the USA, Mexico, and Canada, commencing on June 11th.
