The hyper-realistic humanoid robot U1, designed for “emotional interaction” by Ubtech, has seen tremendous demand. Within just 10 days of its official launch, it garnered over 3800 pre-orders.
The U1 series comprises two distinct humanoid robot models, one male and one female. The male version stands at 183 cm tall and weighs 42 kg, while the female version measures 168 cm and weighs 35.2 kg. Both models feature Wi-Fi connectivity and offer between 2 to 4 hours of operation on a single charge.
This robot boasts 88 degrees of freedom. It is powered by a large AI model responsible for conversation and emotional responses. It supports local, encrypted storage for all interactive memories and allows customers to customize the robot’s appearance through various configurable options during the ordering process.
An official demonstration video showcases the male robot wearing a form-fitting suit and gold-rimmed glasses, while a makeup artist is seen applying cosmetics to the female robot.
Both robots are capable of executing human-like movements, such as blinking and head turns.
Sales are set to commence on June 30th. The final official price has not yet been disclosed.
