In the second half of 2026, a major update labeled 26H2 will be released for the Windows 11 operating system. The publication Windows Central has published a detailed list of expected new features.
Among the key changes, the introduction of the intelligent service Ask Copilot, which supports both text and voice interaction formats, has been announced. Users will be provided with advanced interface customization tools: an updated Start menu will appear, along with the ability to pin the taskbar to the top of the display. Changes will also affect the system search, which can be configured to work locally without displaying results from the internet. Journalists from the portal positively assessed the feature to disable unnecessary network recommendations.
Additionally, in version 26H2, for the first time in a long while, the design of the classic Run window will change, and PC owners will be able to postpone the installation of system updates for up to 35 days. The authors of the article clarified that some of the described features have already been tested by users who installed preliminary builds of the OS. Earlier, the specialized publication PCWorld reported a technical glitch in Windows, where the screen was covered by a white window, which was related to the operation of the Chrome browser.
