In the UK, an investigation is underway into the deaths of a woman and her two daughters, whose bodies were discovered in a home near Bedford. The incident came to light after relatives were unable to reach the family for several days, as reported by Metro.
Alarm was raised by acquaintances who noticed the mother had stopped answering phone calls and the children had not been seen in public. Following a search, police found the deceased woman and two girls inside the house, the youngest of whom was five years old.
The primary suspect is the 45-year-old head of the household. According to the investigation, after the incident, he left the UK via Heathrow Airport and is currently in Zimbabwe.
“We are bringing the full force of the law to bear on this case. Criminal investigations have no borders,” police officials stated, urging the man to surrender voluntarily to authorities.
At the school attended by one of the deceased girls, the tragedy was described as “a complete shock.” Teachers remember the child as “kind, affectionate, and always with a smile on her face.”
The cause of the tragedy remains unknown. Investigators continue to determine the circumstances of the incident and emphasize that the investigation is not yet complete.
“Three innocent people have died under the most horrific circumstances, leaving relatives and friends in deep grief,” representatives of the investigation declared.
Earlier in the UK, following public pressure, the justice minister announced a review of sentences in cases involving the murders of young women by their partners, introducing a minimum term of 25 years and up to ten additional years for convicted offenders. Through a charitable organization, the victims’ mothers demanded justice, stating that women do not feel safe even in their own homes.
