Apple Inc., the American tech giant, has filed a lawsuit against OpenAI and two of its former employees, accusing them of misappropriating trade secrets, according to a complaint obtained by RIA Novosti.
The document states: “At every level—from technical staff members to the director of hardware engineering—and in dealings with business partners, OpenAI stole Apple’s trade secrets and confidential information.”
The company further alleged that the two ex-employees shared sensitive proprietary data with OpenAI.
Apple is requesting the court to bar the defendants from using or disclosing its trade secrets and confidential information, compel them to return the company’s property, and cut off their access to its secrets.
The corporation is also seeking damages, the disgorgement of any profits gained by the defendants, as well as punitive damages and coverage of legal fees.
