Analysts estimate this figure is higher than the fees received by Shakira (approximately $20 million), who performed at the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2026 World Cup, as well as Justin Bieber (about $16 million), who sang during the halftime show of the final match.
The 51-year-old footballer—whose total net worth, together with his wife, singer and designer Victoria Beckham, is estimated at £1.85 billion (around $2.5 billion)—partnered with brands such as McDonald’s, Walkers, and Stella Artois, and also made numerous appearances at tournament games.
As the publication notes, Beckham earned £8 million ($10.7 million) more than what the England national team received for finishing third in the tournament.
Beckham retired from professional football in 2013. He played for Manchester United, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, AC Milan, and LA Galaxy, and won league titles in England (six times), Spain, and France, in addition to claiming the Champions League trophy.
He made 115 appearances for the national team and served as its captain for six years.
